Kevin Axx, DDS

Dr. Axx has been practicing Endodontics since 2006 and has lived in Phoenix since 2007. He is a native New Yorker and attended college at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. He then went to SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, NY; completed a General Practice Residency and a Chief Residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY; and then practiced General Dentistry in Manhattan, NY. After developing a passion for Endodontics, he attended Temple University’s Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA and completed a Residency in Endodontics. After completion of his training, Dr. Axx moved to Phoenix and has been providing root canal therapy and other endodontic services for patients in the Valley since 2007. He has completed over 21,000 cases.

In 2010, Dr. Axx achieved his Board Certification and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. In Arizona, less than 20% of Endodontists have completed all necessary steps to become Board Certified and Dr. Axx is proud to practice according to the standards set by the Board.

Dr. Axx lives in Central Phoenix with his husband, Cameron and their dog, Hadley. He established the QU Scholarship Fund in 2012, with Dr. Shel-Don Legarreta, and has since raised over $315,000 to help educate future generations of LGBT Arizonans. He also volunteers his time for the annual Arizona Missions of Mercy Free Dental Clinic, the One n Ten organization, and for the Big Brother Big Sister program. His other interests are traveling the U.S. and abroad, skiing, and rowing crew.
